Re: Joe Hart
Far too emotional to be a top level keeper.

Seeing him in the tunnel before the Euro games, he was like a man possessed.

Compare him to the top level keepers of recent years, Buffon, Neuer etc.

You need calming influence at the back. Also as mentioned his distribution is nowhere near good enough to suit Guardiola's plans.

Re: Joe Hart
linked with Everton today............ good luck to him. maybe he will have more work to do and thus improve upon his game.

i think half his problem is concentration, or lack of it.

Re: Joe Hart
He's too inconsistent to be a top goalkeeper.

For every three superb performances or great saves, there's a potential howler in there.

Another one who is over rated because he's English

Aren't his personal problems to do with how much he loves Willy?

How ironic

Re: Joe Hart
Yes he had a poor Euros, but I remember against Barcelona in Champs League the other season, he was unbelievable, save after save.

I'd have him at West Ham

He makes fuck up after fuck up, should never be the England golay, Fraser Forster is way better. If i was Pep i'd be looking for a new goaly as well

Changes stuff for the sake of it??

Not sure about that. Hart has been on the wane for about 18 months now. And after his Euro's debacle if I was going in there he would be my first player out.

The bloke is a massive, expensive liability. He also doesn't have the ability to play as a sweeper which Pep wants.

Remember that now you mention it, what's up with him again?
Some shagging issue I seem to recall

No, not that. Can't put it up on here, but its been known inside city for some time that he would be moved on when the new manager started.

Re: Joe Hart
I find the concern for "weak link" Hart for Manchester City (2 titles, 3 cups, 4 golden gloves) on here somewhat BAFFLING. England is another matter. England are shit all round, and Hart not the worst by far.

Guardiola may not like Hart. Though PG says that isn't the case. Mourinho "doesn't rate" Mata. Mata proving him wrong. Hart or Mata would both improve WHU as far as I can see, not that either is an option.

Re: Joe Hart
hart has long been the weak link in that city lineup, and if he were any other nationality, he'd have been gone a long time ago. Also, been a weak link for England, although there problems stretch a bit further than him. I'm not saying a sweeper-keeper is the answer for City but getting Hart of the starting XI is a start.

He's capable of some fantastic reflex saves, but his instincts on positioning are simply not there. far too tentative on balls floated in, and plays as though he is afraid to make a mistake. from the looks of it, spends an awful lot of time manicuring himself as well. City are going to have to eat some of his wages if they want to unload him, unless qpr get promoted.

Re: Joe Hart
can't believe Sunderland didn't play with more width !!.. there was so much room out there...they just played narrow which played into man City's hands!!

Re: Joe Hart
agree with gph...

The Prem is much faster direct and more physical than Spain and Germany leagues...

Lets see if the Pep strategy works here...???

haha

Re: Joe Hart
Full backs reinforcing the midfield and a keeper-sweeper looks like a high-risk strategy to me - without excellent players exactly suited to playing that game, it could all go horribly wrong.

Hopefully, against us.

Re: Joe Hart
Hart's got all he's deserved. He farts around the place trying to look like a god, but the reality is that he makes far too many mistakes.

Hart was responsible for 50% of the goals England let in at the Euros. He makes those kind of mistakes for Man City.

He's just not good enough.

Pep probably saw him at the Euros where he was fucking terrible and made his mind up there

Fine use of 'STANCHION'

Re: Joe Hart
At that sort of club you get compared to a DeGea or a Neuer.
Not at their level at all for mine.
In this case it's more coming down to Pep wanting someone who can play sweeper keeper for his system.
Aren't going to argue with a man with a squillion trophies but my first requirement would be someone to keep the ball out of the net. And in the English game stand up to someone like Andy Carroll trying to put your head in the STANCHION

JLAP 2:42 Sun Aug 14
Re: Joe Hart
Pep clearly not aligned with Slavs philosophy on the back bone of a team in this league SHOULD be English. Let's see who is right at the end of the season.
